Christmas Eve...

Decorating Christmas Cookies for Santa:
We started out the day decorating cookies for our man Santa. The kids went nuts with frosting and sprinkles on the sugar cookies. Just doing our part to give Santa some type 2 diabetes...Yikes that's a lot of Sugar!

The Nativity scene:
Our friends the Trentadue's invited the kids to join in their Nativity scene. I was such a warm night we were able to do this outside in their front yard. The kids did a great job (thanks to the preparation of the Trentadue/Grover group!), the food was wonderful, and the company was fabulous as always! Calee was an angel, Gavin was a Shepherd, and Brock was going to be a sheep...but wouldn't keep on the ears.

Opening Christmas PJ's:
Every year Grandma and Grandpa Zeisler get the kids pj's to open on Christmas Eve. Grandma even made matching pillow cases. Thanks Grandma...the kids we're extra cuddly that night!

A Christmas Bedtime Story:
Once the kids were ready for bed we read Christmas books....And then it was off to bed so Santa could do his thing.

Matt's birthday...

Matt's 28th birthday was Dec. 22, 2008. Yikes he's getting old! Here as some pics of him and the kids enjoying his special day.

Gingerbread houses...

I am one of the activity day girl leaders for our ward...for our Christmas party this year we made gingerbread houses. The girls LOVED it! After I took home some gingerbread stuff so that Gavin and Brock could make one too/eat a lot of candy. They turned out really cute!

Big kid party!!

Calee had her Birthday party with school friends on Dec. 6th, 2008. We went to Color Me Mine and the kids got to decorate their own ceramic piece. The girls and Gavin (poor kid was so out numbered by 3rd graders), had a really great time decorating their ceramic pieces, talking and hanging out!

Attempting a Christmas picture

After the ward Christmas Party we thought we would try for a family pic by the tree...the toddler in our family had other plans...this is the best we could get.

Ward Christmas Party!!

Our ward Christmas party landed on Calee's birthday...so after we had a fun time at home we headed to another party at the church! Calee felt so lucky, she even got to be a lamb in the nativity scene. Santa was there...and thus Brock was scared to death. The party was fabulous! We had a great time with some wonderful friends!!

Is it wrong that we love this picture?!!

Brock was fine once they gave him a candy cane and he wasn't on Santa's lap.
Calee and Gavin telling Santa what they would like for Christmas...and relaying what Brock would like too.
Calee being a sheep for the play with some of her friends.

Calee's 9th Birthday!!

Calee celebrated her 9th birthday Dec. 5, 2008. WOW time really has flown! Calee has grown up so much...she is still loving the gymnastic team that she is on at the YMCA, she loves to read (she always has a book in her hands...walking at the store, driving in the car, while I'm curling her hair, while she brushes her teeth...I can't even explain how much this girl reads!), she is doing so well in school and gets to participate in a special reading group at school (they take kids with a passion for reading out of class and get a reading group together), she is always making us laugh, she takes care of Brock and he loves it, I could go on and on this girl ROCKS!! Happy Birthday Calee!!
