Easter Sunday

The kids looked so cute in their Easter outfits I just had to take them to get their pictures taken. This picture was taken the Friday before Easter, that's why Gavin still has all of his teeth.

Gavin wins with the "best morning hair ever".

Decorating Easter Eggs

Checking to see if they are done yet...

Brock trying out this binkie thing. I keep trying to push it on him, he is such a thumb sucker! If anyone has any tips on how to stop a child from thumb sucking...please share your wisdom. I am simply trying to substitute one habit for another...I guess I'm trying to have him use the binkie like a patch. Yikes that sounds bad! My point being I can take away a binkie I can't take away the thumb.

Not blue enough yet.

Just testing out the product.

Tah-Dah!

Tooth Fairy meets the Easter Bunny!

On the Eve before Easter as we were just getting ready to decorate Easter eggs, Gavin's tooth was loose. He had been messing it with it all day long. Matt thought he would take a "look" at it...FYI if your Dad wants to "look" at your loose tooth, he is probably going to yank it out of your face! So Daddy "looked" at Gavin's tooth and POP out it came. Gavin lost his first tooth on Easter Eve! And in doing so he sent the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy out on a blind date that started in his room.

Puppet making

Calee had her first book report at school. For this project they were to make a puppet of a character from the book. Calee read the book Judy Moody: Around the world in 8 1/2 days. Calee's Judy Moody puppet turned out really cute, she worked really hard on it and loved every second (I swear that kid loves crafts more than anyone I know). Gavin decided he needed to make a puppet too, he named his puppet...#1 Brother. The #1 Brother puppet turned out great, and Gavin sure is our #1 brother!

Mini golf + 14 month old = Hilarious

We took the kids mini-golfing last Friday. Obviously Brock is way too little to understand the sport, so we spent most of the time chasing after him when he would steal our balls.

Go Gavin!

Mom looked away for a second and the "ball bandit" snatched her ball.

Calee Concentrating.

Gavin working around the "Brock feature".

Don't worry Gavin I'll get your ball for you.

Here let me get that for you.

Nice swing.

Got your ball...again.

Gavin's "Career Parade"

Gavin's Kindergarten had a "Career Parade" yesterday. Our Gavin dressed up like a fast jet pilot. Most know of Gavin's obsession with airplanes. Gavin has been into airplanes from the time he was about 18 months old. Even when he was just a little toddler his eyes would light up if he would see an airplane in the sky. So many times we would been sitting in our house and little Gavin would stop playing, I then would realize he hears an airplane outside...so we would take off running out the door to spot the aircraft, if we failed to find it there was serious consequences (by way of a tantrum). We would take Gavin to Airplane museums and he LOVED it (his favorite Smithsonian is obviously the Air and Space), he would sit and watch old airplane documentaries and be so content. One thing Gavin really, really loved doing (and still does) was playing an airplane simulator on the computer. So it just made sense that Gavin wanted to do a "Top Gun" shout out during the Kindergarten "Career Parade".

A blast from our airplane loving Gavin's past.

Gavin was 1 1/2 years old here. He was having a blast flying the airplane simulator with Grandpa. But when it was Calee's turn, Gavin got MAD!!! Gavin has always been a smart one he called out for his Grandpa (he knows he can usually get what he wants from Grandpa), then he voiced what he really wanted, "I want airplane". You can just see his passion for airplanes, even at such a young age!

A few random pics of Brock

Lifting weights...at least someone in this family is using them.

Isn't this how we all feel after church?

Daddy sure loves this!
