Christmas morning!

We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids have been so good this year Santa gave them what they asked for. Calee's favorite present was "Kit"(American Girl doll). Gavin's favorite present was his Eagles football helmet, football pads, football jersey, and football pants. Brock got a lot of fun new toys, but we think his favorite thing was playing with all the paper!

For Christmas Eve today we...Read the Nativity story from the Bible and acted out parts, made Santa gingerbread cookies, dressed up like Santa and Rudolph, opened Christmas Eve pajamas, and got the kids to bed. Whew, time for Mom and Dad to get to bed!

Matt's Birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!! We love you so much!!!

Brock was so excited! Matt was excited too, it's his favorite cake (eclair cake, Oma's recipe).

Way to go Daddy!

A kiss for the Birthday Guy.

A kiss for Daddy's princess.

Daddy is reading cards that the kids made (he loves all of the pictures they draw for him). Notice Calee stealing a kiss from Brock...We kiss a lot in this family!

Enjoying a singing card.

An X-box game :)

Matt and Aimee. Notice the sign behind us, Calee and Gavin made that for Matt before he woke up this morning.
We put together a special book of the fun things Matt does with the kids.

Reading his story to the kids.

Gavin's winter enrichment

For Gavin's winter enrichment at school they made snowmen (out of socks), decorated ginger bread men, and played a game of "SNOWY" (aka BINGO) with skittles. He had such a fun time, and I had a great time watching him have fun.

Calee's Winter Enrichment

I got to go help/take fun pictures at Calee's winter enrichment at school. The class made snowmen (out of garden pots) and decorated ginger bread men. I love to go and spend time in the class room with the kids.

Jingle Bell Run

At Calee's and Gavin's elementary school, they do a jingle bell run the last day before Christmas break. All the kids run and "Jingle bells" around the tract. Everyone had a great time!

Brock Walking!

Brock is now 11 months! Wow the time has flown, he is walking a lot more now. He has been taking steps for 3 weeks, but now he can go about 6 steps. He is still much, much faster crawling and he knows that...so if he really wants something he drops to his hands and knees and cruises over.

Brock still plays with his tongue all the time, he clicks it and makes funny noises with it. The doctor always laughs when she tries to get a tongue depressor in his mouth, he can wrap his tongue around anything.

Check out this form, bent knee and all.

He loves to suck on the faucet from his kitchen set.

The mind of a 5 year old

Last week I needed to get the kids out of school early to get my sister to the airport on time. Calee was waiting for me in the office when I came, but they don't let Kindergarten kids out until the parent is in the office then they call them over the intercom system. In the office I heard the secretary page Gavin's class room, "Mrs. Schrieber, I need Gavin for dismissal in the office". I looked out the door and saw Gavin running as fast as he could. Now back in my elementary days we were not allowed to run in the halls of the school, so I questioned Gavin..."Gavin, why are you running in the school?" Gavin's answer,"Because the secretary said 'I need Gavin for this missile in the office'". Without questioning why he was suppose to be a missile, Gavin grabbed his books threw them in his book bag, and ran to the office like a missile. I love being a Mom where else can you get this kind of comedy?

Calee's baptism day!

Sunday, December 9, 2007 Calee was baptized. We are so very proud of her and her decision at this time in her life. We had a very special day as a family and we will treasure the feelings that we felt forever.

Calee and Gavin on her special day. We are so proud of Calee for the example she is setting for her little brothers.
