Memorial Weekend

We stayed pretty busy this long weekend...Saturday (5-24-08) we spent the morning and afternoon at Busch Gardens...the kiddos had a lot of fun, Calee tried some roller coasters and Gavin scoped out the territory and said he would do the roller coasters when he was bigger (apparently he got bigger by Monday). Then Saturday evening we took off for a Barbecue with some of Matt's friends from work...there was volleyball, a play set (there was so many kids to play with at the Barbecue, Calee and Gavin made some fun new buddies), a massive bonfire, lots of great food, and really great company. Sunday we recooperated and did the church thing. Monday (5-26-08) we spent the whole day at Busch Gardens...Calee and Gavin rode some pretty big roller coasters, Matt was so excited they were tall enough and wanted to ride the big rides with him. Brock enjoyed some little kiddo rides (his favorite was the airplanes) and tried to catch some cat naps when he could in the stroller. Matt and Gavin got stuck inside the building for the ride "Escape from Pompeii", they were stuck for about 10 minutes while maintenance tried to fix the problem, it was kinda funny to get a cell phone call from Matt while they were stuck on the ride...It was pitch black inside the building and apparently everyone was a little worried, so Matt decided to take advantage of that and splash the people in front of him just to get them more scared it worked they were streaming and freaking out (and he got away with it, they never found out he was the culprit)...Gavin and Daddy laughed quietly about their inside joke. Good times!

It's official Gavin is 6!

Gavin had a great 6th birthday (5-22-08)! He got quite the loot!!...Model airplanes, model helicopter, a Nintendo DS Lite (which he can't believe is his!), some DS games, a gift card, a little spending money, and some other fun things. Happy Birthday Gavin! This boy is hooked up till Christmas!

Calee's Gymnastics Award Ceremony

Last night (May 20, 2008) was Calee's Gymnastics team ceremony at the YMCA. She has improved so much, and you can really tell she has such a great time doing gymnastics! Calee has been doing gymnastics for 3 years now, and has made so many fun friends on the team. Way to go Calee, we love you!!

Gavin's 6th Birthday party!

On Friday May 16th, 2008 (yes, the same day as field day) we had Gavin's 6th Birthday party with friends. Off to the YMCA we went for a "Sports Mania Birthday Party". The YMCA staff lead the kids through obstacle courses, and they played some mean games of Basketball together...then we got to do the traditional Cake and Candles, eat Cake, and open presents. Gavin had a lot of great friends make it to his party, and he had a wonderful time! By the end of the party the kids were sweating buckets! Gavin was so cute during the opening presents portion of the party...Gavin would read the cards first before ripping open the present (I was so proud!), and once the present was open his jaw would drop open with astonishment, he LOVED every present! On his official Birthday (May, 22) we will do our family party for him...he can hardly wait!

"Indoor" Field Day

Calee and Gavin had "Indoor" Field Day last Friday (May 16th, 2008). We got rained out 2 weeks in a row so the school decided to have the fun inside. "Indoor" field day activities included...Dancing ("the chicken", "electric slide", "bunny hop", and a few more jigs), relay races, and some wicked bingo games. Calee and Gavin had a great time! Brock and I went along to see all the fun activities. Brock was in shock with all the noise but he loved cheering on Calee and Gavin, I kept asking Brock if he was having a good time and he would say, "Ya, Ya".

Lucky Lady

Mother's Day this year was TOO much fun! The Kids and Matt joined forces and created quite the fun day. The day was filled with homemade/school made cards, decorated "hand" towels (Matt gave each of the kids a kitchen towel and put their hands on it, and let them decorate them how they wanted), a hand bouquet (Matt helped the kids trace their hands and then they made stems and arranged them like flowers in a vase)...and well...last but certainly not least the kids and Matt made me a wonderful...um I'm not really sure what to call it, but a wonderful corsage/brooch/large wonder of beauty...what ever it is called I love it! I sported the creation made for me at church that day...people were so "impressed" by the craftsmanship. Life just doesn't get any better...I wanna freeze the kids in this moment, and maybe Matt too!
