Fall leaves

We had a fun time doing a BIG chore today! We raked all the leaves in our back yard. My Mom is here visiting and we put her to work! The poor missionaries stopped by and we put them to work. The only ones who got out of working were Matt (because of the shoulder surgery, nice excuse), and Brock (because he is an infant, nice excuse). We sure had fun playing/working. Sadly we still have tonz of leaves up in our trees, they fall until the next spring so the job really doesn't stay done. Calee and Gavin earned money for each bag they filled, they sure wanted to help once we put a price on it. There is a lot of pics to go through, that's what happens when a camera crazy Mom and a camera crazy Grandma get together.

Matt, the reason the missionaries are helping us out. He is finding out that this brace is pretty handy.

Calee took my picture, notice the camera in my hands as well.

Christmas Books!

Our kids love to get out the Christmas books. They love to hear all the classics, and new ones too. My Mom gave me some of the Christmas books from when I was little, our kids love to hear the classic old stories. We have added to the collection quite a bit (I have an obsession with books, healthy or unhealthy we have yet to decide), it's fun to read a new story for the first time.

Gavin's Thanksgiving Feast

In Gavin's Kindergarten class they did a Thanksgiving feast. The kids made their own outfits (hat, shirt, and necklace), they decorated the table with Indian writing, and they got to make the entire Thanksgiving meal. Gavin had such a great time!! It was so much fun to watch him in his class. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Swinging with Brock

The weather was so beautiful today, Brock and I had a great time playing in our backyard. He is so much fun, "jolly" would be a great word to describe him. Brock loves to laugh, smile and have a great time!

Brock loving his swing!

Brock loves to be outside!

He is always playing with his tongue, this baby is so funny!

Something in the sky has caught Brock's eye. I love it when he stares off in deep thought.

Our trees are turning beautiful fall colors.

Fall Soccer ends

The kids had a great Fall soccer season! They both really enjoyed playing and both had great friends on their teams. We love to watch them run around and have a great time. Way to go Calee and Gavin!

Stay at home Dad

It has been 1 week since Matt's surgery. His shoulder is still in pain, but he is trying to make the best of this situation. He has figured out a way to play Xbox. As long as Brock is in his room (where everything is baby proofed), Daddy can sit on the floor and use his left arm to play with Brock. Matt has also been able to walk Calee and Gavin to and from the bus stop, and when they get home from school he helps them with their homework. As hard as this has been for Matt, he really is making the best of a bad situation!

Play time with Brock and Daddy.

Yee-Haw!

Brock loves to have his Daddy around all day! What a lucky guy he has 2 stay at home parents.
