Halloween

The kids and Mom had a super fun Halloween and Trunk-or-Treat! Poor Daddy was at home sick, he decided to be really scary this Halloween and be "The Swine Flu". Calee wanted to be her favorite demi-god (Annabeth) from the "Percy Jackson Series", she designed her costume by herself. Gavin just watched the "Karate Kid", and wore a costume made with love from Grandma Z. Brock was so excited to be Woody from "Toy Story".

1st day of school...

First day of school 2009-2010 school year. Calee is in 4th grade and Gavin is in 2nd. They were both so excited to go to their new school. Brock loves to walk to and from the bus stop...he gets so excited when "Sis-Sis" (Brock's nickname for Calee) and "Bear" (Brock's nickname for Gavin) come home.

Norfolk Botanical Gardens...

Just before school started we took a trip down to the Tidewater area. Here we are at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens...this place is so BEAUTIFUL!!

Zipline turned into bigger project than expected...

I told the kids I would build them a ZipLine...Then a Launch Platform...Then...well you get the picture of what this project turned out to be!! It was pretty fun building it with them and letting them design it just how they wanted!!

We slept out in the TreeHouse the Sunday night before school started. (School started on a Tuesday of course.)

Just as we were getting to settle down for he evening and watch a movie in the TreeHouse before going to sleep, this "End of Summer Firework Show" went off in front of our house. It was pretty need seeing fireworks coming through the tree's as we were laying in the treehouse, but we had to go get a closer look!!
