Gavin's Lego Birthday Party...

Gavin is SOOOO into Legos, so it only seemed right to make it a Lego party for his Birthday this year. He and his buddies had a great time doing relay races with Legos, playing games with Legos, eating a Lego cake, and of coarse building with Legos. If you ever need an idea for a party with a bunch of 7 year old boys...Legos are the way to go!

We took Gavin to the Lego store to get all the supplies we would need for his Lego party.

OK Brock is such a stinker! I was trying to get a picture of the cake and he goes and marks his piece. Well at least he told me it was yummy.
Gavin loved his Lego cake.

Strawberry pickin'

Friday after school we took the kids to Chesterfield Berry Farm to go strawberry pickin'. We ate a ton and picked a ton to take home! There is something about a warm strawberry fresh off the vine...nothing compares to it! Yum, Yum, Yummy!!

Brock was so funny, he would bend down and eat the strawberry right off the vine.
Calee and Gavin, seeing who can pick the biggest strawberry.

My boys...

Gavin and Brock have such a sweet connection! I loved walking in on them taking a nap together. Gavin is so great with Brock. Brock is so lucky to have a great big brother to look up to that loves him so much.

Guy time...

Matt decided to surprise Gavin with a trip to San Diego to see the RedBull Air Race, and to play at LEGO land. Gavin's 2 favorite things are planes and Legos, so the trip was tailor made for this fella. Matt and Gavin had a great time bonding together!

LEGO Land!!

Gavin had a great day at LEGO land, now it's off to bed with his new airplane jammies, and pillowcase Grandma Z made for him. Thanks Grandma!!

American Girl with my My Girl...

Calee and I were able to skip out of town for a day and get some much needed "girl time" in. Calee had no idea what we were doing. I packed her bags, had them in the car...and we drove off to run "errands" (that's what she thought) for the day. When we pulled up to the airport she was very confused. I waited until after we checked in, gave her a little package from American Girl, and she was still confused. I then told her I was taking her to New York to the American Girl Doll Store. She was thrilled as you can imagine!

Still confused, about where she is going.
Finally in the know, and loving it!
Things were off to a great start, we got to the Omni hotel and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a suite! Calee then got to open some fun things that Grandma Z sent...Matching jammies for Calee and Kit (her American Girl doll), matching pillow cases, a robe for Calee, and sleeping bag for Kit. Thank you Grandma!!

Our first stop at the American Girl Place was to the doll hair studio. It was time to get Kit ready for her special day.
Calee and Kit in front of Kit's part of the store...Let me just tell you this store is AMAZING!! 3 stories of girl heaven!!
We had a fancy lunch at the Cafe.

Photo Shoot with Calee and Kit.
Oh boy did she have fun, so did I!!!
We still had some time left over after our day at the American Girl Doll Store. And since we were in New York, we thought we should hit Central Park. We had such a great time walking around, seeing street performers, playing at the park, snacking on goodies, and climbing on rocks and statues. Calee was so intrigued by the street performers, she couldn't believe her eyes. Calee has always been a climber, the rocks in the park made her very happy. We spent a good deal of time just relaxing on top of rocks, Calee said, "Isn't it nice sitting on a rock and listening to music"...it was so nice to spend this time together.

We had to hit the massive Disney store too...again 3 stories of fantasticness!!
I couldn't believe the pizza slice they gave Calee, it was as big as her head. Everything at New York seemed to be Jumbo-Large!
