For Sale...

Things really just took off these past two weeks. One day we were thinking about upgrading to a bigger house, a few days later we put a contract on a new home. It's a bittersweet thing for us...on one hand we are so excited to get into a bigger home, on the other hand we LOVE our home we have now. We have put SO much into our home, it's going to be hard to sign it over to someone else, but seeing as though we don't want 2 mortgages I guess we don't have a choice. We have a few people looking at the house, so we will see what happens. If you know of anyone who is looking for a home in Richmond, send them our way.

Aphrodite aka Calee

At school Calee's class has been studying Greek mythology. Calee has really enjoyed this section of her school work. The class has just finished reading a book (The Lighting Thief) based on Greek mythology, they dressed up and had a party to celebrate. Calee put this outfit together all by herself, she is so into detail...she made the headband, flower bouquet, found a little bird to safety pin on her shoulder, white sheet, and she even made gold coins and found a little bag to put them in and tied them onto her belt! I wish I had a tiny bit of her creativity, looks like it skipped my generation and she got it! And yes it is really dark when they go to school.

Snow!!

This week has been fantastic!! We had 3 snow days off of school. So how did we spend those days off?!...Playing in the white stuff of coarse. Sledding, snow ball fights, snow man building, hot chocolate drinking, you get the picture. Yeah it was a great week!

Sledding with friends
Calee and her friend Grace, enjoying a ride down the hill.
Gavin and his bud Sam, having a great time sledding.
Calee, Daddy and Brock
Brock loved the snow so much!! If we weren't taking him down in a sled or tube, he would get antsy and scoot down on his booty.
Time for hot chocolate...
Just water for Gavin...we still can't convince him that Chocolate is a major food group.

At home in the snow...

The finished product.

February Fun!!

We love February!! Valentines fun is just too fantastic...Valentine boxes, fun packages from Grandparents for their little Valentines, decorating sugar cookies (a few times), and of coarse a visit from the Valentine Aardvark!!

Packages sent with "Love" from the Grandparents
The kids loved the Valentine packages they received!! Grandma and Grandpa Z sent the kids new webkinz...which the kids LOVED, and of coarse CANDY...which of coarse was devoured!! Grandma and Grandpa T sent sugar cookie decorating supplies...and boy did we all have fun with that activity, and they topped off the package with yummy candies too!! Thanks Grandparents!!

Valentine boxes
The classic Valentine box for school...Brock made one too, he loves to be a part of all the fun!!

Aardvark Pouch decorating
Our kids love to make a pouch for the Valentine Aardvark to fill on Valentines Eve. They did a great job decorating their pouches!! They were all so happy on Valentines morning to see what the Aardvark left for them to enjoy! Thanks Aardy, we can't wait until next Valentines!!

Daddy thought it was a good idea to decorate Brock for Valentine's too.

Our finished pouches.

Thanks Aardy, I love all the fun stuff in my pouch!
Already enjoying one of the books the Valentine Aardvark sent her.

I love morning hair!

Gavin's winter Enrichment

FYI- Matt and I are both better and have totally resumed normal life...If we were ever that normal to begin with?!!
Gavin's class had Winter Enrichment on Jan. 30th...I was able to go help out/stock my little man in his class room. I love to spend time in the classroom, but I don't get to as much as I would like (they don't allow siblings in the school)....but I got lucky on this day, Matt was home to watch Brock so I could spend some time with Gavin in his class.

My baby has a boo-boo...

Matt had arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn Meniscus on Jan. 22. Just about 2 weeks after me having a tonsillectomy. We are recovering together. So for the next week it is Xbox for him (poor guy I know), and lots of homework to get ahead on.

Grandma Time...

How can you thank someone enough for living your life for you for 2 weeks? No really any ideas...cause I really gotta thank my mom for doing that for me. I had no idea how down and out of it I would be after having a tonsillectomy...yikes, it hurt. The good thing was the kids did not suffer one bit...in fact they hit the jack-pot with Grandma in town. Grandma didn't waste a second with my little people, she took them so many fun places...library story times, mall events, out to the movies, build-a-bear for some spoiling, and other places I'm sure (I really couldn't be sure what they were up to I was, for lack of a better word, unconscious in my bed!). If that wasn't enough, Matt had his surgery while she was in town too...she had to deal with 2 invalids and take care of 3 kiddos. In a really weird way it was great to have my Mom and Brock have so much time with just the two of them (Calee and Gavin still had school Mon.-Fri.), they are quite connected to each other...and I am glad they had that time. The following pictures are from my Mom's camera...I wasn't present for any of the fun:(. Next trip she is going to have to deal with me as a tag-a-long, I hate missing a minute of the kids lives!

At the school...Calee had a classroom play the day of Matt's surgery. So while Matt and I were at the hospital, Grandma was enjoying Calee staring in Pandora's Jar...Calee was Pandora. Once Calee's play was over Grandma was leaving the school, and saw Gavin in the art room and had to take a picture. He thought it was pretty cool to see his Grandma in passing!
Grandma and Brock went to quite a few story times at the library and at Pottery barn kids too. He had so much fun with his personal assistant.

Obviously Calee and Gavin got away with more than I would let them. They are WAY too big to be in a shopping cart...but of coarse life is more fun with Grandma.
